The featured piece at the
2006 Guerrilla Truck Show, is an extra long picnic table made from a framework of 3 identical profiles of the typical backyard picnic table. The table top is a single sheet of frosted glass which gives the picnic table a modern update. The table comes equipped with white paint pens allowing users to carve their own personal messages into the surface. By the end of an event the top is completely covered in the scribblings of several anonymous collaborators and can be wiped clean for the next occasion.
The twelve small seats retain the unified quality of a bench when they are all placed under the table but also allow for smaller groups to easily pick up their seats and move away for more private conversations. Two very distinct fabric patterns of matching pink and brown cover the cushions allowing users to randomize or control the appearance of seating.
